Crisis counseling at the Schwulenberatung (one hour daily on weekdays). Tip: every 1st and 2nd Thursday of the month, the counselors from the Inter*-Trans*-Counseling QUEER LEBEN take over the crisis counseling. Lambda Berlin offers counseling for queer youth aged 14–27, their relatives, and professionals. Services include youth groups, open sessions, and a youth café. For advice, email them; most groups and support options are free and open to all identities. Trakine supports trans children and their families.

We know, it can often be difficult to get a spot for psychotherapy. Don’t let rejections discourage you—keep trying. It helps to write down all requests and responses. This record can be useful later, especially for the reimbursement process, where statutory health insurance might pay for therapy with private psychotherapists. In this process, you need to show that you couldn’t get a timely spot with approved therapists.
